Gracious Lane Bridge update

The Parish Council has today received an update on the situation at Gracious Lane Bridge from Margot McArthur, Weald’s representative on Kent County Council. It is reproduced below:

“I have been in contact with National Highways, and unfortunately the engineer dealing with design and installation is currently on leave.

“I have however managed to have conversations with people in his team.
I am advised that there is a revised design for the barriers which hasn’t been shared with us, but I have been promised sight of this, and will forward when they reach me.   This might not be until the lead engineer returns from leave next week, however.

“I understand that the barriers are being manufactured at present, and my contact is trying to get an installation date.”
